Dear Earthlings,
I am Gongoo Didi (fictional name) from Bangladesh watching from afar the hysterical rantings of television rating-oriented feminists as they vie for self publicity and promotion. A new revolution is around the corner they say. Women are no longer ashamed of their humiliation. They are willing to name and shame. They are calling for sexual harassment cells in every office. Now men will have to learn how to behave with women. Does not it escape their notice that the predator is the very one who claims to be liberal and working for women's upliftment?
Contrary to their claims, it is not men on one side and women on the other. All the feminists are divided as per the respective political parties. They only work for their party and not for women. I watch with scepticism as these self proclaimed feminist messiahs exploit the grievances of women for their own benefit.
While the world fetes Nadia Murad and Dr. Mukwege, do they even remember the horrific violence unleashed on the women of Bengal, yes Bengal, and not this artificial nation called Bangladesh created by the Englishman in the name of Islamic nationalism. We were told by that English stooge, Jinnah that Muslims were a separate nation and we would be second class citizens in Hindu India. We were told that Muslims in West India and Muslims in Bengal were the same nation while India was just a hotch potch of many ethnicities.
The very same international cabal that now seeks to end sexual violence unleashed the most horrific violence in 1947 in Bengal, yet some of us Hindus managed to cling to our ancestral homes. Then that scoundrel Jinnah told us that Urdu was the national language of Muslims and suddenly Bengali Muslims and Hindus alike revolted at this cultural imperialism and the first blow was struck on this fledgling Islamic nation. Suddenly the jihadis of Bengal realised that they were not Turks but Bengalis. We were now the second class citizens of the first class Islamic nation of Pakistan based in Punjab. The Punjabis and Sindhi Muslims could not bear to share democratic power with us lowly Bongs.
Then in 1971, all hell broke loose. The jihadi monster, that was posing as a democratic nation suddenly launched into one of the most horrific Islamisation drives in history. 200,000 to 400,000 women were systematically r***d to Islamise their genes. Islamic clerics justified this in the name of ghanimater maal or war booty of jihad. The Jamaat-e-Islami which was one of the main spearheads of this campaign still continues to be a legitimate party in Pakistan. Where was this MeToo brigade then and what is this MeToo brigade doing about it now? This brigade has a very narrow focus and plays to the feminist gallery in the west.
Where is Salman Rushdie now? He got his two minutes of fame, won a Booker prize and a knighthood from the Englishman for his services to the Empire and now where is he? People still continue to be as ignorant of the Islamic threat as ever.
We had high hopes from Taslima Nasreen. She was the daughter of Bengal. She would give voice to the oppression faced by the indigenes of Bengal or so we thought. Now we do not know what is the reason, but she has lost her fire. Nowadays, she has become a saleswoman of deodorant company. She does not speak for us nowadays. She keeps ranting monotonously against patriarchy like a caged parrot. It is not patriarchy that tortures us, my dear Taslima. I live like a Hindu slave in an Islamic colony fearing what awaits us.
Hindu population is now done to 8%. It is the most excruciatingly slow death of nonMuslims in full view of the so called progressive world. Yet, does any of them really care? They talk about the growth rate of Bangladesh. Should not they be talking of the jihadicide rate instead? Perhaps we are the only Islamic colony where the PM is a woman and the opposition leader also is a woman and what is the status of women today in our country? I fear that Taslima has been coopted and sooner rather than later, this will befall this MeToo brigade too. Yes, yes there will be lot of discussion and bombast but it is destined to fizzle out.
If they were sincere, would they ignore us? What moves these women is the plight of the Rohingya refugees and not the Bangladeshi refugees. Myanmaar is being lectured on human rights and what about Bangladesh? It was the US which sent its aircraft carrier to show support for Pakistan in 1971. The House of Commons in England could not pass a motion against the genocide in Bangladesh. The Blood Telegram stands as a testimony to the eternal moral bankruptcy of those who claim to defend western values.
